Anti Spam Outlook:

Outlook is Good on Anti Spam Software

Anti spam Outlook is a popular spam filter because most computers come with Outlook installed as their default e-mail program. The first and easiest way to defend yourself against spam is to use the tools that come with your e-mail program. There are so many different ones that there would not be time nor space to relate each one’s pros and cons here, so let’s discuss anti spam Outlook.

Follow the Rule Book the Customize

The help files included with Outlook have some basic instructions on what the built-in spam filtering mechanisms can do.

You can choose to have anything that looks like spam go into a specific folder with anti spam Outlook filters. This is nice for a few reasons. At a glance you can see how many e-mails have come and when there are enough you may want to quickly scan for mistakes made, then dump the collection with one click of the mouse. Something about seeing two and three digit numbers in your spam directory and know you don’t have to deal with them that gives a person a lift.

Outlook can be told to simply leave evidently un-requested e-mails in your Inbox, but flag them with a different color. This method is nice if you don’t really get very many.

The other option is to have anything Outlook thinks is spam deleted without you ever seeing it.  Though it’s not recommended to give anti spam Outlook filters so much power, for the easiest way to deal with spam, this is it.

How Does Anti Spam Outlook Work?

Anti spam Outlook makes it choices based on a file called filters.txt. If there is a word in the e-mail that matches something in filters.txt, it is flagged as spam and sent to wherever you decided. You can add or remove words and phrases with a simple text editor but you can clearly see potential problems with that, I’m sure.

One nice thing about this anti spam Outlook file is that once you have everything the way you want it, with the words and phrases defined to your taste, you can give a copy to a friend. Once that file is in place and Outlook is started, the program will act on that data. One file can be copied to thousands of computers, giving them all the same spam filtering potential.

Separate from the built-in programming of anti spam Outlook to help deal with this time wasting data, each individual can make rules based on the header, content or sender of an e-mail, which can be very useful. If you open an e-mail that got through your anti spam Outlook filter, you can create a rule stating that any future e-mails from this sender can either go in the “spam box” or simply be deleted, so you don’t have the problem that some anti-spam software has, that opening an e-mail automatically means you can’t denote it as spam and therefore are likely to get more of these annoying little guys. No wonder anti spam Outlook is so popular!
